About the Opportunity
Peter Lang Group is looking for an experienced Associate Lawyer for their Corporate In-house team. The role involves handling a broad range of corporate legal matters including contract review, M&A support, debt recovery, and regulatory compliance in the international publishing sector.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Review and negotiate contracts with suppliers and distributors
- Update contract templates and maintain legal documentation
- Advise management on legal strategy and risk in legal cases
- Prepare documents, answers, and legal correspondence
- Coordinate with external lawyers and advisors worldwide
- Provide legal support for debt collection matters
Eligibility Criteria
- Law Degree (Bachelor, Master, LLB), specialised in corporate law
- Minimum 2–3 years of work experience (including internships in larger firms)
- Strong command of MS Office, especially Word (track changes, formatting)
- Chartered Secretary (CS) qualification preferred
- Experience in the publishing industry is a plus
- International work experience and other European languages preferred
