About the Job
Accenture is looking for a Contracting Counsel Specialist in Mumbai. The role involves reviewing, drafting, and negotiating various types of contractual agreements in a fast-paced corporate environment, including service agreements, and supporting senior counsel on large transactions.
The selected candidate will also act as an advisor on legal and commercial risks associated with transactions. The position reports to the Contracting Lead and does not involve direct supervisory responsibilities.
Eligibility
- Candidates must possess an LL.B. or equivalent qualification.
- Applicants must be authorised and licensed to practise law in India.
- Candidates should have a minimum of 4 years of transactional experience in the IT industry or relevant roles with increasing levels of responsibility.
- Relevant experience should have been gained at a law firm or in a fast-paced corporate legal or transaction group in a relevant industry.
- Candidates should have experience negotiating and drafting technology-based agreements.
- Applicants should have a good understanding of contracting and risk issues, including intellectual property, as applicable to digital, consulting, systems integration, and outsourcing transactions.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
- Candidates should demonstrate the ability to independently manage a large volume of transactions efficiently.
- Applicants should be effective team players.
Responsibilities
- Independently structure, negotiate, and close client transactions from legal and business perspectives, while also providing support where required.
- Strategise with senior CLPs and internal business clients before client negotiations.
- Stay informed about developments affecting Accenture, its clients, and relevant industries, and incorporate such developments into transactional practices.
- Support, promote, and implement Legal Group initiatives.
- Engage with Accenture client executives, negotiating teams, and outside counsel.
