About the Job
Beacon is inviting applications for Associate/Manager/Sr. Manager – Legal positions in its Legal Department. The role involves handling legal documentation, stakeholder coordination, regulatory matters, security creation, compliance, and protection of investors’ and lenders’ interests.
Eligibility
- Qualification: LLB/LLM from a reputed college/university.
- Experience: Freshers can apply; candidates with relevant experience are preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
Responsibilities
- Drafting and vetting finance/security documents for various secured and unsecured borrowings of corporate clients.
- Liaising with lenders, borrowers, lawyers, valuers, investors, and internal teams.
- Coordinating with legal counsel for finalisation of transaction-related documents and agreements.
- Representing the company before government, semi-government, and local authorities on a case-to-case basis.
- Monitoring pendency and ensuring creation of stipulated security.
- Ensuring statutory filings within the stipulated timelines.
- Ensuring renewal of insurance and issuance of revival letters by obligors.
- Handling escalations related to post-execution formalities.
- Protecting investors’ rights and lenders’ interests.
- Monitoring various ratios, DRR, rating, and financial condition of the issuer company on a quarterly, half-yearly, and yearly basis.
- Assisting with internal and external audits.
- Handling any other work assigned by the company from time to time.
Legal Knowledge
Candidates should have in-depth knowledge of:
- Banking law and practice.
- Corporate laws, including the Companies Act, Contract Act, Transfer of Property Act, Stamp Act, and Registration Act.
- SEBI Regulations.
- Insolvency & Bankruptcy Code and NCLT procedures.
- RDB and SARFAESI Acts.
- Trustee business.
