About the Opportunity
The Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), Karnataka Region, has invited applications for the empanelment of Panel Advocates to represent the Corporation before various judicial and quasi-judicial forums. Selected advocates will be engaged to handle litigation relating to labour, service, insurance, recovery, medical, administrative, and other legal matters concerning ESIC.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be enrolled as an Advocate with the Bar Council of India/State Bar Council.
- Possess the prescribed minimum standing at the Bar for the court/forum for which empanelment is sought.
- Have experience in handling matters before the relevant courts or tribunals.
- Demonstrate knowledge of labour laws, service matters, insurance laws, recovery proceedings, medical negligence matters, administrative law, and other areas relevant to ESIC.
Selection Process
Selection will be based on:
- Professional experience before the concerned courts/tribunals.
- Nature and quality of cases handled.
- Experience in Government/PSU/Statutory Body litigation.
- Knowledge of laws relevant to ESIC.
- Professional reputation and integrity.
- Availability and office infrastructure.
- Performance in the interview/interaction, wherever conducted.
Roles and Responsibilities
The empanelled advocates will:
- Represent ESIC before courts and tribunals.
- Attend every hearing and avoid unnecessary adjournments.
- Draft pleadings, applications, affidavits, written submissions, and legal opinions.
- Submit hearing reports and status updates after every hearing.
- Advise ESIC on appeals, reviews, and other legal remedies.
- Maintain confidentiality of all ESIC matters and avoid any conflict of interest.
Fee
Fee shall be payable as per the revised ESIC Fee Schedule notified by the Corporation. Retainership fee shall be applicable only to Standing Counsel.

Interested advocates must submit the prescribed application form attached below along with the following documents:
- Duly filled and signed application form.
- Copy of Law Degree and other educational qualifications.
- Bar Council Enrolment Certificate.
- Bar Association Identity Card.
- Government ID proof and PAN.
- Updated CV detailing professional experience, areas of practice, and important cases handled.
- Income Tax Returns for the last two financial years.
- Two recent passport-size photographs.
- Undertaking and Conflict of Interest Declaration.
- Copies of empanelment letters (if empanelled with any Government/PSU/Statutory Body).
Applications must be submitted to the concerned ESIC Regional Office in the prescribed format as specified in the official notification.
