About the Opportunity
Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has invited online applications for the engagement of Legal Consultants on a fixed short-term contractual basis at its Corporate Office, New Delhi. The engagement offers an opportunity to work on diverse legal matters involving commercial, contractual, regulatory, arbitration, taxation, company law, labour law, and telecom-related issues.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Hold an LL.B. degree from a recognized University/Institution.
- Possess at least 3 years of post-qualification experience in legal practice or legal advisory work.
- Have experience in areas such as:
- Commercial and Contract Laws
- Company Law
- Arbitration
- Civil and Criminal Litigation
- Labour Laws
- Taxation
- Telecom Regulatory and Licensing Laws
- Cyber Laws and Intellectual Property Rights
- Administrative and Service Matters
- Be proficient in working in a computerized environment.
Age Limit
Not more than 32 years as on the last date of application.
Roles and Responsibilities
The selected candidates will be responsible for:
- Handling legal matters relating to arbitration, contracts, tenders, taxation, company law, NCLT, labour laws, land matters, and service matters.
- Drafting and vetting agreements, contracts, MoUs, legal notices, pleadings, and other legal documents.
- Preparing Writ Petitions, Review Petitions, SLPs, Counter Affidavits, Statements of Defence, and Statements of Claims.
- Examining court judgments and arbitration awards and advising on the appropriate legal course of action.
- Briefing senior law officers and panel advocates.
- Attending court hearings and arbitration proceedings.
- Providing legal opinions and assisting in day-to-day legal matters concerning BSNL.
Remuneration
- ₹75,000 per month (Consolidated)
- 5% annual increment on extension of engagement.
- Additional benefits include TA/DA for official tours and 12 days of Casual Leave on a pro-rata basis.
Duration
Initial engagement for 1 year, extendable annually up to 3 years based on performance and organizational requirements.

Selection Process
The selection process will comprise:
- Screening of applications.
- Shortlisting by the Screening Committee.
- Interview/Interaction before the Evaluation Committee.
- Document Verification and final engagement.
