About International Law in Brief
- International Law in Brief (ILIB) is ASIL’s publication series featuring concise, accessible summaries of recent developments in international law. Read by practitioners, scholars, and policymakers worldwide, ILIB offers student authors a meaningful platform to engage with cutting-edge legal issues. Selected student authors will collaborate with the ILIB editorial team, and their pieces will be published on ASIL’s website.
- Who Can Apply
- Students of ASIL Academic Partners who are:
- Second- or third-year JD students (2L or 3L).
- 2nd-4th year LLB students.
- LLM students.
- SJD/PhD students.
- Previous coursework, research, or writing in international law is an asset.
- What to Expect
- Propose, research, and write short news briefs on international legal developments.
- Approximately 2-4 hours per week, depending on issues covered.
- Approximately 5 students selected per semester.
