About the Job
Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India LLP is hiring a Consultant (Data Privacy) to support clients in developing and implementing data privacy frameworks, ensuring compliance with applicable data protection laws, and strengthening privacy governance practices.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Information Technology, or a related field.
- CIPT, CIPM, CIPPE, or any other related certifications are preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in data protection or privacy compliance.
- In-depth knowledge of data protection laws and regulations, particularly the Personal Data Protection Bill in India.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Responsibilities
- Develop data protection policies and procedures in accordance with applicable privacy laws and regulations for clients.
- Conduct assessments to identify potential data privacy and protection risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Monitor and evaluate data processing activities to ensure compliance with data protection laws and client requirements.
- Provide guidance on Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), risk assessments, data governance, application privacy, and privacy impact assessments.
- Design and build security and privacy frameworks, redesign processes, and implement privacy controls for clients.
- Recommend privacy solutions, engage with stakeholders, and define privacy metrics and dashboards for monitoring and reporting.
- Collaborate with internal teams to promote awareness of data protection policies and practices.
- Stay updated on global developments in data protection laws and revise policies and procedures accordingly.
- Develop records of data processing activities and maintain documentation of data protection compliance efforts.
- Implement privacy tool modules, including Consent and Preference Management and Data Subject Rights Management.
- Contribute to the development of proposals, whitepapers, and other strategic documents to strengthen Deloitte’s privacy capabilities.
- Support knowledge-sharing initiatives and promote best practices across regions and service lines.
