About Adv. Sushant Singh
Adv. Sushant Singh is a litigation practitioner before the Supreme Court of India, Delhi High Court, and District Courts, with expertise in service matters, human rights law, constitutional law, and social justice litigation.
He holds an LL.M. in Human Rights, Conflict & Justice from SOAS, University of London, and a B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) from National Law University, Delhi (NLUD).
As a student leader, he became the first Indian elected President of the SOAS Student Union (2022–24), where he notably succeeded in getting caste recognized as a protected category in union policies. He is also the co-founder of both the Ambedkar Periyar Phule Study Circle (NLUD) and the SOAS Ambedkar Society (London) organizations focusing on caste, identity, and social justice.
About the Internship
Applications are now open for the Socio-Legal Internship Programme at the Chambers of Adv. Sushant Singh, for the months of July and August 2025.
The internship offers a dynamic opportunity to contribute to legal research, policy analysis, and field-based projects addressing the interface between law and society. Interns will be engaged with real-time matters and socio-legal initiatives.
Mode
Hybrid – Remote + In-person (subject to project needs).
Roles and Responsibilities
· Legal research & drafting.
· Fieldwork (where applicable).
· Public policy inputs.
· Awareness campaigns.
Eligibility
· Strong research and writing skills.
· Passion for social justice, equality, and rights-based work.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
· Prior exposure to constitutional or socio-legal matters (preferred, not mandatory).
