About FSSAI

The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) is the apex statutory body established under the Food Safety & Standards Act, 2006, operating under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India. It is entrusted with the responsibility of ensuring food safety and maintaining food standards across the nation.

About the Opportunity

Now in its third year, the FSSAI Internship Scheme is designed to offer young minds an immersive experience in food safety administration and regulatory practices. This industry-academia initiative aims to develop capable individuals with a keen interest in food laws, public policy, and governance.

Eligibility Criteria

Open to students pursuing a full-time Graduate/Postgraduate/higher degree from recognized institutes in India or abroad, in disciplines such as:

· Business Administration & Management (including Policy, Regulation, Finance, Marketing, HR, ICT, etc.)

· Public Policy and Public Administration (only for FSSAI HQ)

· Law (LLB/LLM)

Duration

· Minimum: 2 months

· Maximum: 6 months

· Internships will be available throughout the year.

Stipend

Deserving interns will receive a stipend of ₹10,000 for the entire internship period, based on recommendation from the respective office/division.

Mode

On-site (FSSAI HQ, New Delhi and Regional Offices)
