About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Patent Paralegal to join our growing Intellectual Property practice. The ideal candidate should have in-depth knowledge of Indian patent procedures and a solid background in patent portfolio management.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft and file Indian patent applications (Provisional, Complete, Convention, PCT National Phase Entry)

• Prepare and file statutory forms (Form 1, 3, 5, 18, 26, etc.)

• Manage docketing systems and monitor IPO deadlines

• Conduct filings and submissions through the Indian Patent Office (IPO) e-filing platform

• Assist attorneys in patent prosecution and post-grant processes

• Communicate with clients, inventors, and IPO officials

• Maintain accurate records and assist with portfolio reporting

Eligibility Criteria

• 2 to 5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE)

• Sound understanding of the Indian Patents Act and IPO procedures

• Experience with IPO e-filing systems (Iolite software preferred)

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Effective written and verbal communication

• Prior experience in an IP law firm or consultancy will be an added advantage
