About the Opportunity
Amazon’s Legal Department is looking for a talented commercial transaction lawyer based in Gurugram, India to support Amazon Web Services.
Roles and Responsibilities
The role will be responsible for advising on and managing legal, contractual, and commercial matters across the AWS India business.
A typical day involves providing practical, business-focused legal support across a range of commercial and regulatory matters, including drafting and negotiating agreements, advising internal stakeholders, and managing ongoing legal risks in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree in Law
- Experience in transactional work, including drafting and negotiating commercial contracts or equivalent
- Experience in English-language communication skills, both written and verbal
- Licensed to practice law in India and/or the US, UK or other recognized jurisdictions.
- Experience in web services/cloud computing, software licensing, telecommunications or equivalent
- Experience in private practice or in house experience at a technology company or equivalent
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure, outsourcing, telecommunications, cloud computing services or equivalent
- Understanding of intellectual property, competition and privacy issues.
