About the Opportunity
The RRU Centre for International Law (RCIL) under the School of Criminal Law and Military Law is inviting applications for two Research Officer positions in specialised areas of Public International Law. These positions are offered on a 364-day contractual basis and provide an opportunity to work on advanced research projects while being considered for admission to the PhD by Publication Programme under the supervision of Professor (Dr.) Bimal N. Patel, subject to University regulations.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must possess:
- A Master’s Degree in Public International Law, Maritime Law, or any allied field relevant to the advertised domains with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) from a recognised Indian or foreign university.
- Minimum one year of teaching or research experience in a Government organisation, International organisation, Private institution, or recognised Research Institute.
- At least one publication in an internationally reputed journal or a UGC-listed journal.
Desirable Qualifications:
- NET/CSIR or an equivalent examination recognised by the UGC.
- Papers presented or published at conferences and reputed journals.
- Good knowledge of MS Office.
- Strong report writing and research skills.
Salary
Selected candidates will receive a consolidated monthly remuneration of ₹55,000 – ₹70,000.
Duration of Engagement
The appointment will initially be for 364 days and may be extended for up to two additional terms of 364 days each, subject to the University’s requirements, availability of funds, and satisfactory performance.
Key Responsibilities
The selected candidates will be required to:
- Conduct interdisciplinary research in their respective domains.
- Assist the University in research, training, and extension activities.
- Analyse, interpret, and prepare research reports.
- Organise training programmes, conferences, workshops, and research activities.
- Collaborate with universities, government departments, research institutions, and international organisations.
- Perform other duties assigned by the University.
