About:
Established on 14th October 2003, the Competition Commission of India (CCI) is a statutory body under the Government of India that enforces the Competition Act, 2002, ensuring fair competition and preventing anti-competitive practices across the country.
Overview of the Internship Program:
Legal internship openings are now available at the Competition Commission of India.
Who Can Apply:
Students currently in the 2nd or 3rd year of a 3-year LL.B. program (after graduation) are eligible.
Students in the 4th or 5th year of a 5-year integrated law program can apply.
Candidates who have completed their 3rd year and are entering the 4th year of the 5-year integrated course are also eligible.
LL.M. (Master of Laws) students are eligible to apply.
Further Qualification Requirements:
Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply for this internship.
Applicants must be enrolled in recognized universities or institutions and should have some academic or practical exposure to Competition Law.
Students who have already secured placement offers are not eligible for this internship opportunity.
Tenure:
The standard duration of the internship is one month, beginning on the first working day of each month.
However, candidates who wish to undertake the internship for a longer duration of 2 to 3 months may also apply, provided they submit a formal recommendation from their respective university, college, or institution supporting the extended period.
Internship Compensation:
Interns will receive a monthly stipend of โน15,000.

Certificate of Completion:
Upon satisfactory completion of the internship, as confirmed by the assigned mentor or supervisor, an e-certificate will be issued to the intern for the completed duration.

Interested candidates must submit their applications strictly in the format provided in the Annexure. Applications not adhering to this format will be rejected.
Every application must include a recommendation letter from a competent authority of the academic institution where the applicant is currently enrolled. Applications lacking proper recommendation will not be considered.
Applicants are also required to submit a Statement of Purpose (SOP) of approximately 200 words, briefly outlining the topic of study and the objective of the internship.
The completed application should reach the Commission by the 1st day of the month preceding the internship month.
