Advanced Weapons and Equipment India Limited (AWEIL) is a Schedule A DPSU established to manufacture and supply small arms and associated ammunition to the Indian Armed Forces. Incorporated under the Companies Act and functioning under the Department of Defence Production, AWEIL operates out of the Ordnance Factory campus in Kanpur and is one of seven Defence Public Sector Undertakings formed following the transformation of the Ordnance Factories.
About the Opportunity
The Legal Expert will be part of AWEIL’s in-house legal function, handling a wide range of corporate, commercial, labour, and regulatory legal matters. The engagement is initially for one year on a contractual basis, extendable up to three additional years based on performance.

Eligibility Criteria
- Indian citizen
- Age: Not exceeding 45 years
- LL.B. with minimum 60% marks from a recognised university; Bar Council registration mandatory
- Minimum 3 years of post-qualification legal experience in a Central/State Government, PSU, or reputed organisation
- Knowledge of corporate, commercial, labour, taxation, and contract law required
