About the Job
Kotak Mahindra Bank Limited is hiring a Legal Manager (Loan Against Property) for its Mumbai office. The role involves reviewing finance facility documentation, conducting property due diligence, providing legal opinions, and supporting matters related to secured lending and immovable properties.
Eligibility
Applicants must:
- Hold a full-time graduate degree in Law from a recognized university.
- Candidates with a postgraduate degree in Law will be given preference.
- Have experience in the finance industry, preferably in the banking and finance sector, with a proven track record.
- Have experience in developing comprehensive contract documents that mitigate legal and commercial risks.
- Be fluent in English and Hindi (both reading and writing). Knowledge of an additional language will be an added advantage.
- Be familiar with laws relating to Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC), SARFAESI, NCLT, and immovable properties.
Responsibilities
- Review finance facility agreements and related documents.
- Conduct due diligence of properties proposed to be mortgaged.
- Provide legal advice and opinions on legal matters.
- Review and provide opinions on title search reports relating to immovable properties.

Mumbai.
