About NUSRL
The National University of Study and Research in Law (NUSRL), Ranchi was established by the Government of Jharkhand under the NUSRL Act, 2010. The university has earned distinction as a premier legal institution, with the Hon’ble Governor of Jharkhand, Shri Santosh Kumar Gangwar, serving as its Rector.
About the Chair on Consumer Research and Policy (CCRP)
Established in October 2024 under the aegis of the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution (Department of Consumer Affairs), Government of India, the CCRP at NUSRL Ranchi serves as a dedicated research hub for consumer law and policy. The Chair functions as a think tank, promoting research, training, and academic discourse at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Eligibility Criteria
Applications are invited from students of recognized law universities and institutions who are:
• In the 2nd or 3rd year of a 3-year LLB course, or
• From the 2nd year onward of a 5-year integrated LLB program, or
• Pursuing an LLM degree.
Desired Skills & Attributes
• Strong interest in Consumer Protection Laws
• Research proficiency (quantitative & qualitative)
• Clarity in written and verbal communication
• Teamwork, project management, and time management skills
• Familiarity with legal research platforms like Manupatra, SCC Online, etc.
• Ethical conduct, academic honesty, and analytical thinking
Internship Structure & Requirements
• 📅 Minimum Duration: 30 working days
• 🕘 Working Hours: 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM (full-time)
• 🌐 Mode: Online or Offline (limited to 5 interns per month in total)
• 💰 Stipend: Not applicable (Unpaid internship)
Interns must:
• Attend an induction on Consumer Law at the start of the internship
• Submit a preliminary paper/report within the first week and a final report 4 days before the internship concludes
• Complete four original written submissions on consumer law topics
• Present their work before the conclusion of the internship
• Adhere strictly to working hours, behavioral guidelines, and confidentiality norms
🔔 Internships may be discontinued for unsatisfactory performance or unauthorized absences.
Certification
Interns will receive a certificate upon successful completion of:
• All deliverables (four original pieces, final report, and presentation)
• Full duration and participation in the program
• Compliance with all internship guidelines

2. Your internship dates (apply at least one month in advance)

• A recommendation letter from your institution (in the format of Annexure-A)
• A signed undertaking (as per Annexure-B)
