The Juvenile Justice Clinic at National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bengaluru, is inviting applications for the position of Senior Research Associate — a one-year contractual role focused on strengthening the juvenile justice system in Karnataka through legal aid, empirical research, and strategic advocacy.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead research strategy and ensure timely research outputs
- Identify critical juvenile justice issues and conduct in-depth policy analysis
- Organise consultations, roundtables, and workshops at state and national levels
- Engage in child rights advocacy with the government, judiciary, and civil society
- Publish academic articles, policy briefs, and opinion pieces
- Develop capacity-building resources and training materials
Eligibility
- Master’s degree in law or allied discipline from a recognised university
- 5–7 years of research experience including project design in human rights, child rights, or related fields
- Experience supervising or mentoring research assistants
- Desirable: Ability to speak and read Kannada
