About the Organisation
The Legal Services Committee, National Law University Odisha (NLUO), is dedicated to promoting awareness of legal rights and facilitating access to justice. The Committee engages with contemporary legal and social issues through legal aid initiatives, awareness programmes, research, and academic discussions, aiming to bridge the gap between legal rights and their effective realisation, especially for marginalised communities.

National Law University Odisha (NLUO), Cuttack, established in 2009 under the National Law University Orissa Act, 2008, focuses on excellence in legal education, research, and professional training. The University promotes an interdisciplinary and socially conscious approach to legal education, emphasising justice, public service, and contemporary legal and societal issues.
About the Call
The Legal Services Committee, NLUO invites blog submissions for its blog themed “From Dust to Displacement: Labour Justice, Migration and Legal Aid in Industrial India”. This theme aims to explore legal challenges faced by India’s industrial and migrant workforce, particularly at the intersection of labour rights, occupational health, social security, industrial displacement, and access to justice.

Submission Guidelines
Deadline: Submissions accepted till August 29.
Original and unpublished submissions only.
Co-authorship allowed for up to two authors.
Word count: Between 1000–1500 words, excluding endnotes. Longer submissions may be published in parts at editors’ discretion.
Submission format: Microsoft Word-compatible format (.doc or .docx); PDFs not accepted.
Author identity must not appear in the submitted document.
Citation format: Uniform, preferably latest edition of the Bluebook.
References must be provided through embedded hyperlinks in the text.
For Indian case law, links to Indian Kanoon or relevant court websites recommended.
Statutory provisions should link to India Code.
All factual assertions require appropriate sourcing.
Similarity index must not exceed 10%; AI-generated content must not exceed 10%.
Formatting: Times New Roman font, size 12, 1.5 line spacing, justified alignment; endnotes in Times New Roman, size 10, single line spacing.
Preference given to analytical posts over descriptive ones.
Evaluation criteria: Relevance, quality, structure, coherence, writing style, and originality.
How to Submit?
Submissions must be emailed to nluolas@gmail.com with the subject line: Blog Submission: “Title”.
The email body should include:
A short bio of the author(s).
The name of the institution with which the author(s) are affiliated.
A brief summary of the manuscript submitted.
Submissions are welcome from students, academicians, and practitioners.
Post-Publication
Once published on the Legal Services Committee, NLUO website, submissions may be cross-posted on other platforms. Any cross-post must include the words “First posted on the Legal Services Committee NLUO” along with a link to the original post.
