The Centre for Criminal Law and Criminology (CCLC) at the Integrated Law Course, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi, is a transformative initiative designed to bridge the gap between academic theory and the complexities of the Indian justice system.
About the Call for Blogs
The Centre for Criminal Law and Criminology (CCLC), Faculty of Law, University of Delhi invites original, well researched blog submissions on contemporary issues in criminal law, criminology, and allied fields.
Contributions are welcome from students, researchers, practitioners, and academicians.
Submission Guidelines
- Submissions will be accepted on a rolling basis.
- Each blog post must be between 1,000 and 1,500 words and should be structured to present a coherent argument supported by authority and analysis.
- Manuscripts must be submitted in MS Word format (.doc or .docx). PDF submissions will not be considered.
- The main text must be in Times New Roman, font size 12, with 1.5 line spacing; footnotes must be in Times New Roman, font size 10, with single line spacing.
- All sources relied upon must be duly acknowledged, with references primarily provided through hyperlinks embedded in the text; footnotes should be used only where hyperlinks are not feasible.
- Where footnotes are used, they must conform to the Bluebook, 21st edition.
- Non‑compliance with the prescribed citation style may result in rejection of the submission.
- Submissions must be strictly original and unpublished, and must not be under consideration by any other journal, blog, or platform.
- Any submission with plagiarism or similarity of more than 15% (excluding properly cited material) will be summarily rejected. Any manuscript found to be plagiarised or otherwise in violation of these standards may be rejected at any stage of the review process
- All manuscripts will undergo a double‑blind peer‑review process, first by the Student Editorial Board and thereafter by the Faculty Editorial Board.
- The Faculty Advisory Board shall have the final authority on the acceptance or rejection of any manuscript.
- To maintain the integrity of the double‑blind review, the manuscript must not contain any information that may identify the author(s), such as name, institutional affiliation, acknowledgements, or personal references.
- All author details, including name, designation, institutional affiliation, contact information, and a brief biographical note, must be provided in a separate cover letter attached with the email.
- Co‑authorship of up to two authors is permitted for each manuscript.
- Along with the manuscript, the author(s) must submit a declaration affirming that the blog post does not contain any content that is communal, anti‑national, defamatory, derogatory, or otherwise objectionable, and does not intend to target or harm the religious, socio‑cultural, or political sentiments of any person or group.
- By making a submission, the author(s) agree that, upon acceptance, the copyright in the blog post shall vest in the Centre for Criminal Law and Criminology, while the moral rights shall continue to remain with the author(s).
- The Faculty Advisory Board reserves the final right on acceptance or rejection of all submissions.
How to Submit?
Interested authors must submit their entries by emailing the manuscript in MS Word (.doc/.docx) format to the Centre for Criminal Law and Criminology at the official email ID: cclc@ilc.du.ac.in, with the subject line: “ILC‑CCLC Blog Submission”.
