About The Event

DME Legal Aid Cell in collaboration with DLSA Gautam Budh Nagar presentsa Two-Day Legal Fest focused on Labour Laws, Environmental Protection, and Access to Justice. The fest aims to bridge the gap between legal theory and practice by promoting legal awareness, sustainability, and social responsibility. Through engaging competitions such as Mock Lok Adalat, Legal Street Play, and Legal Aid Best Practices Presentation, participants will enhance their advocacy, negotiation, and problem-solving skills while exploring contemporary legal challenges. Join us in fostering a rights-based and sustainable future through legal education and community engagement.

Theme

The theme of the event is Beyond Codes: Human Rights of Labourers, Eco-Compliance & Access to Justice for Victims. Join us at Jan Nyaya Mahotsav 2026, a two-day legal fest dedicated to promoting labour rights, environmental justice, and access to justice. Through engaging competitions and meaningful discussions, the fest aims to inspire legal awareness, social responsibility, and practical solutions to contemporary legal challenges.

Eligibility 

  • MOCK LOK ADALAT
    • The competition is open to all students currently enrolled in either a 5 year or a 3-year law program at a recognized law school or university in India.
    • Multiple Teams are allowed to participate from a single Institution.
  • Composition: – 3 Members per team
  • LEGAL STREET PLAY
    • Open to school and college students from recognised institutions.
    • Multiple Teams are allowed to participate from a single Institution.
    • Composition: – Min. 8 & Max. 15 Members per team
  • LEGAL AID BEST PRACTICES PRESENTATIONS
    • Open to undergraduate and postgraduate students enrolled in recognised colleges or universities (law and allied disciplines).
    • Each participant/team must be officially registered through their institution or as per the prescribed procedure.
    • Interest in legal aid, access to justice, or community initiatives preferred.
    • Originality of work is mandatory; submissions must be the participant’s own and not previously published or presented.
    • Composition: – Min. 2 & Max. 3 Members per team

  1. Mock Lok Adalat- Early Bird Offer: ₹2,500 Standard Registration Fee: ₹3,000
  2. Legal Street Play- ₹ 1,500 for a team of 8 Members + ₹ 200 per additional member
  3. Legal Aid Best Practices Presentation- Early Bird Offer: ₹799 Standard Registration Fee: ₹899
