IndiGo (InterGlobe Aviation Ltd) is India’s largest domestic airline, operating a vast domestic and international network. The in-house legal team handles aviation law, regulatory compliance, litigation, and commercial contracts for one of Asia’s busiest carriers.
Key Responsibilities
- Advising and handling consumer litigation matters before various consumer forums across India
- Advising and handling general litigation matters, including criminal matters before various courts
- Liaising with police and regulatory authorities on notices regarding passenger and flight details
- Advising internal clients on non-tax laws including contracts law, aviation laws, company laws, and FEMA
- Ensuring contracts and internal processes are compliant with applicable laws and regulations
- Leading high-value, complex commercial transactions in a fast-paced in-house environment
Eligibility
- LLB qualification (LLM preferred)
- 10–14 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in aviation, transportation, or a large corporate legal department
- Strong command of aviation laws, consumer protection laws, contract law, and FEMA
- Experience handling litigation across multiple jurisdictions
