About the Job
Siemens Limited is hiring a Legal Counsel for its Siemens Global Center of Excellence in Thane, Maharashtra. The role is integrated into Siemens’ Legal team in India and involves working on international legal matters at the intersection of law, technology, AI, and global business. The position also supports legal domain ownership, strategic business partnering, and innovation in AI-enabled legal solutions.
Eligibility
- Qualified lawyer in a recognised jurisdiction, preferably India, the US, England & Wales, Singapore, or another common-law jurisdiction.
- More than 5 years of post-qualification experience in a leading law firm and/or an in-house legal function.
- Experience in commercial contracts and projects, technology transactions, software (including SaaS), digital business models, and international business environments.
- Strong commercial judgement and business-focused legal expertise.
- Excellent stakeholder management and analytical skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively across different cultures.
- Collaborative, customer-oriented, and ethical approach.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with an interest in innovation, technology, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Draft, negotiate, and manage a broad range of commercial contracts across multiple jurisdictions.
- Provide legal risk assessments, bid support, and guidance on complex contracting structures.
- Partner with business leaders, commercial teams, contract managers, and legal colleagues across Siemens globally.
- Advise on strategic transactions and contribute to harmonising contracting processes and legal standards.
- Develop expertise in strategic business areas, including data centres, sustainability, energy transition solutions, and emerging technology-driven industries.
- Support scalable legal knowledge-sharing and best-practice development.
- Contribute to Legal AI and digital transformation initiatives by identifying, testing, and implementing AI-enabled legal solutions.
- Improve legal service delivery through innovation, technology adoption, and data-driven workflows.
- Support contract intelligence, compliance, governance, and knowledge management initiatives to enhance business insights and decision-making.
