About the Migration and Asylum Project
The Migration and Asylum Project (MAP) is an organisation working to strengthen legal protection frameworks for migrants, displaced communities, survivors of violence, and other vulnerable populations. Through legal assistance, advocacy, research, community engagement, and policy interventions, MAP works to build an inclusive and responsive legal protection landscape grounded in human rights and the rule of law.
About the Fellowship
The Fellow will have the opportunity to spend 24 months gaining academic, legal, and field experience in migration, women’s rights, and the protection of displaced communities while being part of a movement to build an inclusive legal protection landscape through a rule-of-law-focused approach.
Fellows will also have the opportunity to engage with MAP’s key partners and collaborators, which include UN agencies, civil society organisations, and state institutions. MAP alumni have gone on to pursue careers within the UN system, prestigious academic fellowships, and PhD programmes.
- Position: CFC Fellow (1 position)
- Location: Aizawl, Mizoram (on-site). Fellows will be required to travel as needed, including to the New Delhi head office.
- Duration: Up to 24 months
- Start Date: 15 August 2026
- Probation: 3 months
Eligibility
Graduates of law or other related fields with 0–2 years of experience. Only Indian citizens are eligible to apply. The Fellowship is full-time.
Stipend & Benefits
- Monthly stipend: ₹45,000
- Working hours: 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with casual and sick leaves, weekends, and public holidays.
